Staff Accountant

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Ocean Institute, located in scenic Dana Point Harbor, is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our nonprofit’s financial operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and efficient day-to-day accounting processes. The ideal candidate will be proficient in general ledger accounting, accounts payable/receivable, and monthly close procedures, and will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to support financial transparency and organizational success.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Monthly Responsibilities
- Prepare and post recurring journal entries including payroll, accruals, depreciation, and benefit allocations.
- Reconcile all bank, credit card, investment, and liability accounts with appropriate documentation.
- Maintain schedules for prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and restricted funds.
- Reconcile and record revenue from multiple sources including point-of-sale systems, donations, grants, and programmatic income.
- Track interdepartmental allocations and ensure accurate classification of expenses.
- Support sales and use tax calculation, reporting, and remittance.
- Generate monthly financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and budget-to-actual comparisons.
- Upload reports and reconciliations to designated internal review platforms.
Quarterly Responsibilities
- Reconcile payroll tax filings (e.g., 941s) and verify benefit allocation accuracy.
- Review and update restricted fund balances and grant reporting schedules.
- Prepare and post quarterly journal entries as needed for complex or manual allocations.
- Assist in producing quarterly financial packets for management or board review.
Annual Responsibilities
- Support annual financial audit preparation, including PBC (Prepared By Client) documentation.
- Finalize year-end adjusting entries for liabilities, accruals, prepaid items, and deferred revenue.
- Assist with preparation and reconciliation of 1099s and other compliance-related filings.
- Maintain and update depreciation schedules; record fixed asset activity.
- Support preparation of tax returns and retirement plan filings (e.g., Form 5500).
- Contribute to budget preparation and loading final budget into accounting systems.
- Assist with year-end reconciliations for grants, pledges, inventory, and net assets with donor restrictions.
Other
- Set up new grants and projects in accounting software
- Respond to internal and external finance-related inquiries within established timeframes
- Support coordination across departments; provide basic training to internal users on finance procedures or documentation as needed.
- Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements for financial workflows and data entry.
- Ensure adherence to internal control policies and support ongoing compliance with 501(c)(3) regulations and audit requirements.
- May be required to work overtime to complete work or projects
- Assistance with Ocean Institute’s large fundraising or special events such as;
- Maritime Festival, Annual Fundraising Gala, Parade of Lights, Spooky Seas, etc.
- Meets all applicable safety requirements for the position and work environment
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role. Prior experience working in a nonprofit organization is a plus.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting, general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Experience managing and tracking accounting functions related to grants and restricted funds.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word, Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of accounting software such as Blackbaud Financial Edge or similar computerized systems.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the School Programs Senior Manager, the School Programs Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of school programs and instruction at the Ocean Institute. This role is responsible for training, supervising, and evaluating instructional staff and ensuring that programs and activities run smoothly and on schedule. To ensure program delivery is in alignment with program goals, this role orchestrates peer evaluation and feedback throughout the year. This role also includes pre– and post-program communication with teachers to ensure we are providing adequate customer service.
This leadership role ensures that science programs at the Ocean Institute align with internal and external standards for educational quality and excellence. In addition, the School Programs Coordinator will participate in other Ocean Institute programs and events as needed.
Success in this role will largely be measured by staff retention, instructional accuracy (as demonstrated by manager and pre/post gains), and a positive staff culture.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Fulfills essential functions and responsibilities of an Ocean Institute Coordinator, staying up to date on current best practices in teaching methods.
- Assist the Booking Coordinator with communication with teachers pre and post programs.
- Upholds Ocean Institute and departmental policies and procedures.
- Staff Management:
- Trains, supervises, and evaluates instructional staff.
- Manages Education Staff Program Schedule (When I Work). Aligns with companywide schedule release dates.
- Creates and manages staff assignments for school programs. (Assisting set-up, check-in, lunch, check-out, etc.)
- Works with other education coordinators and managers to develop and implement a peer observation program for instructors.
- Works as a team member with other education staff to ensure the success of the programs and to create a positive work environment.
- Communicates any relevant information regarding program or job performance to staff in a positive and appropriate manner.
- Trains and oversees overnight Admins for Science Programs.
- Program Implementation:
- Uses pre-program data on program to ensure the learning experiences align.
- Works with the Education team in organization, ordering, and maintenance of science program supplies.
- Greets and checks-in schools upon arrival for school programs. If multiple programs, assigns a lead instructor to assist.
- Assists staff with set-up and clean-up of onsite programs.
- Assists staff with lunch breaks.
- Works closely with the booking team in fulfilling grants.
- Updates program curriculum and supplies used for programs.
- Assists School Programs Senior Manager with creation of new programming.
- Runs instructor staff training for school programs
- Adapts programs for inclement weather, communicates any last-minute changes with teachers.
- Manages school information, allergies, dietary restrictions, behavior issues, and updates instructional staff if necessary.
- Runs pre-program meetings to inform staff of day of program needs and changes.
- Teach programs on a fill in or substitute basis (Instructor, deckhand, overnight admin).
- Works with the School Programs Senior Manager on special/custom science programs.
- Manages all food items for overnight programs (ex: ordering dinner, breakfast, drinks, snacks, etc.)
- Leadership:
- Oversees Education volunteers training and program calendar.
- Works as a team member with other Ocean Institute departments
- Works with the education team to plan and develop summer camp programs.
- Works with the education team to plan a teaching techniques training.
- Has a leadership role in summer camp sessions during June, July, and August.
- Assist School Programs Senior Manager with Intern Program.
- Works closely with members of the Education Team to ensure program success.
- Maintains and updates program info sheets for teachers. (Pre-packs, Risk and waivers, Manifests, Jotforms, etc.)
- Present and promote Ocean Institute programs at PTA meetings, schools, and other events, if requested.
- Special Events: Participates in the planning and implementation of special events ex: Annual Gala, Maritime Festival, Teen Conferences Holiday Events, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have four-year degree in science, education, or the equivalent.
- Must maintain certification First Aid and CPR.
- Must be adept with various computer programs including the Microsoft Office suite and online programs
- Must be committed to excellence and furthering the educational and environmental mission of the Ocean Institute.
- Must have experience in informal or formal education.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and establish a good rapport with staff, as well as with visiting teachers, students, and chaperones.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently in an unsupervised environment.
- Previous coordination experience preferred, but not required.
- Must exhibit a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and passion for work in Ocean Education!

JOB SUMMARY
The Floating Laboratory Specialist (Unlicensed Mate) position serves the primary functions of assisting the captain in
operations and maintenance of the RVSE. The position also assists the At Sea Department Administrators in overseeing
quality assurance of existing programs and developing new programs. The FLS is involved in the implementation and
successful execution of the curricula for all Floating Laboratory programs. Another role of the FLS is to assist with the
implementation and maintenance of research projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisting the Captain:
• On-deck daily preparation and cleaning of vessel (including washing windows, scrubbing decks, cleaning heads,
etc.)
• Perform daily start up and shut down procedures on generator, main engines, and other equipment.
• Perform engine room maintenance tasks.
• Perform regular Cal-OSHA safety checks (for example, deck grip, cable wear, gloves, footwear, lines on deck, trash,
loose tools, etc.).
• Load and offload of passengers, handle lines, set and retrieve anchors, assist with implementing emergency
procedures.
• Oversee safe and efficient use of all equipment by staff and students.
• Present safety talk including SB 755 requirements and rules specific to the R/V Sea Explorer.
Assisting the At Sea Department
• Role model for dress and behavior before, during and after all programs.
• Greet students and teachers; effectively guide them into program (collecting and checking manifest, stowage of
gear, etc.), proactively addressing each school’s needs, and providing consistent communication to participants on
activities.
• Active participation in design, development and implementation of station equipment and curriculum, as needed
and directed.
• Maintain all program equipment on a daily or as needed basis.

• Train instructional staff in program logistics and curriculum.
• Perform necessary first aid during program for injuries and seasickness.
• Oversee data collection during programs and maintain databases for all research cooperative projects with
monitoring agencies and universities.
Instructional duties:
• Assume the position of role model in fulfilling “essential functions and responsibilities” of Ocean Institute’s
instructor position; namely teaching, professionalism, communication, and positive culture.
• Upon hire, participates in United States Department of Transportation and USCG required drug-testing program.
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of marine biological and oceanographic principles for offshore
ecosystems, including but not limited to, benthic ecology, plankton, and water profile dynamics.
• Demonstrate ability to dynamically present the information of marine biology and oceanography, while meeting
the goals and objectives of Floating Laboratory Programs as outlined in the challenge sheets.
• Participate in major Ocean Institute events (e.g., Maritime Festival, Annual Fundraising Gala, Girls in Ocean Science).
• Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum one year boating experience required
• Four-year degree in education, environmental studies, social science, science, or outdoor recreation; equivalent
relevant work experience may be acceptable.
• Ability to work overnight programs and weekends.
• Demonstrated experience working with children and groups in an organized educational or recreational setting.
• Ability to work independently.
• Committed to excellence and furthering the educational and environmental mission of the organization.
• Maintains certifications in First Aid and CPR.

JOB SUMMARY
Ocean Institute, located in the picturesque Dana Point Harbor, is seeking a dynamic Facility Rentals and Events Coordinator to lead and expand our facility rental program. While our primary focus is on educational programs, our beautiful waterfront campus is also available for special events. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for all internal facility rentals, overseeing everything from event setup to execution. This role requires strong coordination skills, including communication with external event teams, our Booking Coordinator, and vendors to ensure seamless event experiences.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Event Planning & Coordination
- Serve as the lead for all internal and external event rentals, including weddings, corporate functions, nonprofit events, etc.
- Provide high-touch coordination and support from pre-event planning to on-site execution and post-event follow-up.
- Draft detailed event contracts, floorplans, and timelines in coordination with the Booking Coordinator and external event team.
- Manage all aspects of vendor relations, including selection, scheduling, performance oversight, and payment coordination.
- Conduct site walkthroughs with prospective and confirmed clients, ensuring expectations are aligned with event capabilities and guidelines.
- Coordinate private educational offerings for event clients, integrating Ocean Institute’s unique programming into custom event experiences.
Operational Oversight
- Supervise event setup, breakdown, and on-site operations, ensuring a high level of professionalism and efficiency.
- Coordinate with janitorial teams for pre- and post-event cleaning and ensure spaces meet cleanliness and presentation standards (“Event Ready”).

Maintain and manage equipment inventory in the catering kitchen, including reorganization, supply ordering, and cleanliness oversight.
- Ensure all events meet county lease and facility requirements and safety standards.
- Utilize Convergence software to manage event bookings and assign internal staffing resources via When I Work.
Sales, Marketing & Growth Initiatives
- Work proactively with the marketing team to promote event rental spaces across digital platforms, including the Ocean Institute website, social media, corporate outreach, and platforms like The Knot.
- Build, promote, and refine event rental packages and scale successful models to new markets.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase rental revenue, including pricing alignment based on market research, outreach to corporate clients, and seasonal promotional campaigns.
- Create and contribute content for newsletters and social channels to showcase Ocean Institute’s event offerings and rental successes.
Strategic & Administrative Duties
- With managerial support, review event sales performance regularly and identify opportunities to optimize offerings and improve conversion rates.
- Provide timely reports and updates to leadership on event trends, space utilization, client feedback, and staffing needs.
- Collaborate with internal departments and leadership to ensure cross-functional alignment of event goals with organizational mission and values.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of the Ocean Institute.

- Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on discrepancies or missing documentation
- TIN Check and request W-9’s for all new vendors with the use of our Tincheck software
- Maintain up-to-date and organized electronic vendor and records
- Enter all credit card transactions into Accounting Software to reconcile to the credit card statement
- Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and supporting schedules
- Communicate with vendors and internal staff regarding payment and invoice information, approvals
- Maintain physical and digital filing systems for financial documents
- Assist with scanning, organizing, and archiving accounting records

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Summer Camp Managers, the Summer Camp Administrator assists in the operation of Ocean
Education Center and Maritime summer camps. They function as the main program developer, maintains a
budget, supply list, and staffing needs of the program. In addition, they oversee the implementation of the
program, including but not limited to staff training, participant check in, and program lead.
Duties include teaching summer camps as assigned, establishing and maintaining a positive rapport with staff,
supporting other instructors and assisting with child management, purchasing supplies, maintaining
equipment, managing paperwork, assisting in registration, setting up and cleaning up stations, interacting
positively with parents and other Ocean Institute customers, overseeing summer camp volunteers and aides,
completing other projects as assigned, and doing whatever is necessary to ensure the successful
implementation of summer camp programs.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the Master and Port Captain, a Spirit of Dana Point Captain assists the Director and the Master Captain
in the operation of the sailing programs aboard the Spirit of Dana Point. This position also may be required to help
with ship maintenance and repair, occasionally.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as a captain strongly preferred.
• Hold and maintain a 100-ton near-coastal Coast Guard Master’s license with sailing endorsement.
• Four-year degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Must maintain certification in First Aid and CPR or maintain certification after hiring.
• Must participate in Coast Guard required drug-testing program.
• Must have a working knowledge of sail handling, navigation, rigging, marlinspike seamanship, carpentry,
plumbing, painting, and ship operations.
• Ability to interact and develop a good rapport with OI staff, OI volunteers, teachers, parents, the general
public and outside partnering organizations in a professional and courteous manner.

The Facilities Lead is responsible for supporting the efficient operation and maintenance of the Ocean Institute campus. Under the direction of the Chief Operations Officer, the Controller will oversee, manage, and execute the organization’s day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. In this role, the Controller will perform accounting duties and will ensure the completion of key accounting tasks, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, grant and project tracking, and accounts payable/receivable management. The Controller will also support month-end closing processes, assist with audits, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and external regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or other relevant certifications preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Chambers Gallery Gift Shop Coordinator reports directly to the Chambers Gallery Manager. The position is responsible for ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for visitors and maintaining the status of the gift store in conjunction with the Gift Store Buyer & Manager. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and will be comfortable working with people of all ages and backgrounds.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide exemplary customer service to Ocean Institute visitors and callers
- Develop and maintain knowledge of Point of Sale (“POS”) software
- Develop and maintain knowledge of Ocean Institute ticketing platforms
- Provide accurate information about the Institute, its offerings, exhibits and events, and the surrounding area
- Promote Ocean Institute membership & events
- Collect visitor data and feedback
- Assist with store merchandise inventory receiving, tagging, and upkeep
- Restock merchandise & staging of the sales floor
- Communicate inventory needs to Gift Shop Buyer ahead of large events
- Works with Gift Shop Buyer on merchandising and floor schematics for maximum volume impact and visual presentation
- Maintain a clean and neat store appearance and assist with keeping Ocean Institute public spaces tidy
- Open and close the store as scheduled
- Pull & analyze monthly and annual sales reports
- Coordinate cash supply and organize bank runs as needed

JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director of Education, the Maritime Program Manager supervises the operation, maintenance, and quality of Ocean Institute’s education programs. The Maritime Program Manager has a lead role in all aspects of the successful operation of programs including program coordination, daily logistics, staff supervision, customer service, program evaluation, and equipment maintenance. In addition, the individual will participate in other Ocean Institute programs and events as needed.
Success in this role will largely be measured by leadership and expectations related to oversight of external communication with schools; including accuracy in detail, communication related to cancellations or changes, response rate (within 24 hours), moving schools to actions (booking a program). Additionally, internal leadership related to staff retention, instructional accuracy (as demonstrated by education director and pre-post gains), and a positive staff culture.
The Maritime Program Manager is expected to provide clear and timely communication to the Director of Education on issues, concerns, data as requested, staff needs, etc. This is a leadership position that is expected to echo the culture and expectations of the senior leadership team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manager duties:
- Works with members of the team to ensure programs meet organizational standards of maritime education and excellence.
- Communicates with staff, volunteers, and the public in a positive and appropriate manner.
- Oversees program budgets (COPS).
- Participates in the planning process of all-hands events (Jazz, Maritime Festival, Virtual College Fair, Girls in Ocean Science, Holiday Lights, etc.).
- Coordinates professional development and growth opportunities for Maritime staff (Trainings, conferences, etc.).
- Works with the Maritime Coordinator in Intern management.
- Assist Maritime Coordinator in Volunteer Management.
- Supervises Maritime Program Implementation Coordinator.
- Oversees the Maritime Education team including hiring, timecards, exiting employees and ensuring staff engagement.
- Manages timekeeping in Maritime Department for accurate payroll processing (timecards).
- Assists Maritime Coordinator with staff trainings throughout the school year.
- Works closely with the Education Scheduling Coordinator to ensure accuracy in the Maritime Program Calendar.
- Leads the Maritime Education Experience
- Manages the Maritime Education visitor experience and oversees the quality of the Maritime programs.
- Ensures the safety and well-being of students, adult chaperones, teachers, and staff.
- Promotes Maritime Education programs and bring more visitors to Ocean Institute.
- Develops and revisits programing curriculum with Maritime Coordinator under the direction of the Director of Education.
- Communicates website updates to Maritime Coordinator.
- Assists Education Director in creating marketing material.
- Teaches or serves as a deckhand, or overnight admin as needed.

- Managing role in summer camp.
- Works with the education team to plan and develop summer camp programs

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 4-year degree in Education or Science and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- 1-2 years’ experience working at a formal and/or informal educational facility
- Minimum 1 year experience in successfully managing a team. Can delegate and motivate employees to accomplish goals.
- Advanced computer skills. Highly competent in Microsoft Office and various databases.
- Able to manage and provide strong leadership to staff and volunteers.
- Must be articulate and have excellent writing skills
- Must possess a high sense of urgency, strong initiative, multitasking capability, customer centric attitude, and a high attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.

Under the direction of the Maritime Program Manager, the Maritime Coordinator: Program Implementation is responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of Maritime programs and instruction at the Ocean Institute. The coordinator is responsible for training, supervising, and evaluating instructional staff and ensuring that programs and activities run smoothly and on schedule. To ensure program delivery in alignment with program goals, this position orchestrates peer evaluation and feedback throughout the year. This job also includes pre and post communication with teachers to ensure we are providing adequate customer service.
This leadership role ensures that Maritime programs at the Ocean Institute align with internal and external standards for educational quality and excellence. In addition, the coordinator will participate in other Ocean Institute programs and events as needed.
Success in this role will largely be measured by staff retention, instructional accuracy (as demonstrated by manager and pre-post gains), and a positive staff culture.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Staff Management:
- Supervise and support instructional staff.
- Manages staff scheduling and ensures schedules are released on time. Work with Maritime Master Captain and School Programs Manager to co-manage staff and scheduling.
- Create and manage staff assignments for school programs. (Assisting set-up, check-in, lunch, check-out, etc.)
- Work alongside other education coordinators and managers to develop and implement a peer observation program for instructors.
- Works with Master Captain and Manager to run instructional staff training for Maritime programs.
- Works as a team member with other education staff to ensure the success of the programs and to create a positive work environment.
- Communicates any relevant information about the program or job performance to staff positively and appropriately.
- Program Implementation:
- Uses pre-program data on program to ensure the learning experiences align.
- Greets and checks-in schools upon arrival for school programs. If multiple programs, assign a lead instructor to assist.
- Assists staff with set-up and clean-up of onsite programs, including assisting staff with lunch breaks.
- Updates program curriculum and supplies used for programs.
- Adapts programs for inclement weather, communicates any last-minute changes with teachers.
- Manages school information, allergies, dietary restrictions, behavior issues, and updates instructional staff if necessary.
- Runs pre-program meetings to inform staff the day of program needs and changes.
- Teach programs on a fill in or substitute basis (Instructor, deckhand, overnight admin).
- Works with the Booking Coordinator on special/custom Maritime programs.
- Manages all food items for overnight programs (ex: ordering dinner, breakfast, drinks, snacks, etc.)
- Leadership:
- Works as a team member with other Ocean Institute departments.
- Works with the education team to plan and develop summer camp programs.
- Works with the education team to plan teaching techniques training.
- Has a leadership role in summer camp sessions during June, July, and August.
- Assist Master Captain with Intern Program.
- Works closely with Captains to ensure program success.
- Present and promote Ocean Institute programs at PTA meetings, schools, and other events, if requested.
- Maintenance and Workshop Familiarization
- Works with Master Captain to ensure upkeep of historic tall ship. Including and not limited to:
- Working aloft using a fall arrest system
- Working with solvents, paints, oils, and finishes
- Special Events: Participates in the planning and implementation of special events (ex: Jazz, Maritime Festival, Virtual College Fair, GIOS, Holiday Events, etc).
- Fulfills essential functions and responsibilities of an Ocean Institute Coordinator, interfacing with school groups, staff, and members of the public, ensuring program excellence.

- Must have four-year degree in history, education, or the equivalent.

JOB SUMMARY
The Maritime Instructor teaches students and the public about maritime history utilizing Ocean Institute’s facilities including labs, docks, and ships. Maritime Instructors will engage students in our school experiences, summer camp programming, public programs, and private events. This position requires Instructors to be in character and role-play to engage the students and to dress in period-specific costumes to recreate the lives of those who worked aboard ships such as ours in the 1700’s and 1800’s. Ocean Institute’s ideal candidate possesses or is in pursuit of a degree in education, history, theater, related fields, and/or equivalent experience. Applicants must be willing to work overnight and day shifts. Most programs take place either dockside at Ocean Institute, or on our Historic Tall Ship, Spirit of Dana Point. Sailing experience is not necessary but is a plus!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position requires educators to work as a team to provide an educational experience for students, public programs, and private programs.
- Uses teaching techniques to dynamically present the facts and underlying principles of California/ US cultural histories to students of a wide range of ages and abilities.
- Demonstrates the ability to utilize the program’s characters in role-play to engage the students while meeting the goals and objectives of the program as outlined staff training manual.
- Shows the ability to positively maintain a focused learning environment in various situations and settings.
- Dresses in period-specific costumes to recreate the lives of those who worked aboard ships such as ours in the 1700’s and 1800’s.
- Display and maintain knowledge of California and US history.
- Convey knowledge of and demonstrate safety procedures to participants in educational activities and effectively enforces safety guidelines.
- Works with supervisors to resolve participant behavioral problems.
- Understands and maintains safety and conduct expectations outlined in the Ocean Institute Employee Handbook and other Ocean Institute documents.
- Assists in the maintenance of equipment and supplies.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess or actively be in pursuit of a degree of higher education in history, theatre, education, or a related field.

Equivalent experience and/or informal education will also be considered.

Must maintain certifications in First Aid and CPR. Certification can be completed after hiring.

Ability to work overnight programs and weekends.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Chambers Gallery Sales Associate reports directly to the Chambers Gallery Manager. The position is responsible for ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for visitors. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and will be comfortable working with people of all ages and backgrounds.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Responsible and proficient cash handling skills
